Christmas

Just pretend it's not three months later because I have to share these adorable pictures...

Since the kids generally sleep in yesterday's clothes (nobody tell on me) I had them get dressed before we opened presents. This wasn't actually as horrific as it sounds since the little ones didn't really know any better and the 12 year old is so groggy before is morning coffee he didn't have any idea what day it was anyway (kidding. kidding).

Last year we moved on the 25th and we didn't do anything big present wise. That really would have been the first Christmas the 3 year old would have know what was what so when he came out in the morning and saw the sit & spin and the wagon which where to big/awkward to wrap he was alarmed that somebody had come and opened our presents.

It was also Small's first Christmas which basically means he had a fun day playing with paper and sticking bows on his head.

Other than a few amazing deals I managed to get online on Black Friday, most of the presents under the tree were from Grandma since we did two big family presents: Xbox Kinect and a new puppy! You can see how excited Large was about that one...

We didn't go to the shelter to pick out a puppy until the following weekend but I wrapped up a collar, leash, and a few dog toys so the boys had a nice surprise right on Christmas. I'll share some pictures about the new addition as soon as I take some (I know, bad Mommy).

baby's 1st birthday

I have finally found my camera's memory card which is good timing since Small had his first birthday which made for some cute photo ops. Also super exciting...Christmas pics!

This baby is growing so fast.  In December he started crawling all over the house, in January he was pulling himself up on the furniture, then in February he started walking anywhere he had something to hold on to. He is nodding yes and shaking his head no and signing more things all the time. His new favorite thing is to stand up and let go of whatever he is holding then wobble as he tries to learn to balance. It amazes me how much this amuses him and lets be honest, me too.
