The other day I was eating some pasta with parmesan "cheese" when my phone rang in my bedroom. Rather than leave my food for even a moment my pregnant self walked down the hall, bowl in hand. After I grabbed my phone I was walking back when I heard Medium talking about a mouse in his room. WHAT? "There's a mouse in your room?" I asked.

"It smells like cheese. I think there is a mouse in here eating cheese." Only a four-year-old would think that was the most likely explanation.

On another note, it looks like Six had a nice long shower last night. Or more likely a bath judging by the bath toys strewn about the tub :)

Our Elf on the Shelf came in the mail yesterday. It's pretty amazing how Santa knew exactly when we got the book and wished for our own elf.

We named her Six and put her on the shelf to watch over us all day so she could give her naughty/nice report to Santa last night while we slept. Apparently Six had plenty of time left over after she got back from the North Pole because she decided to decorate our tree for us.

UPDATE a.k.a. blogging so certain grandparents quit hounding

There have been so many changes around here in the past few months my head is still spinning. We've been (and still are...ugh) in the process of fixing up our new house. Yes, we've moved again. We've also had a constant stream of visitors from the mainland before and after the move (who doesn't love company?). We got to go on an awesome vacation to San Francisco with my parents. And we've had the best kind of surprise, a new baby due in May. Now that I'm not stuck in bed with morning sickness we can share all it with you. I've also got a new phone and laptop so I'm able to take and blog pictures again! Most of all these kids are growing up. Fast. Update:

Dislikes: doing pretty much anything with the rest of us and 4 year old brothers

Medium, age 4.5
Favorite Food: granola
Likes: Sonic the Hedgehog, and pretending to be (or watching or talking about, Spiderman)
Dislikes: being ignored by his older brother
Most used phrase: "Spiderman, Spiderman, friendly neighborhood Spiderman..."

Small, age 21 months.
Favorite food: blueberry Lara bars
Likes: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, chickens/horses/cows in the backyard and doing dishes
Dislikes: bedtime and sore bums
Most used phrase: "Batman!" or "Bang Bang!" or possibly anything I just said that he shouldn't be repeating
