The kid will sit on the toilet for an hour, pee several times, then get off only to go hide behind a curtain and poop in his diaper. Although he sits on the thing every day I can count on 1 finger how many times he has pooped in the toilet.

For what its worth, I used used the 'big boy' pants plan with Kevin. I made a big deal about big boy underpants like Daddy's - got him several pair to wear during the day and reminded him frequently that Daddy poops in the toilet. Eventually it worked. Remember very few children go to kindergarten wearing diapers!
